Area Beaches

Chapel Beach:

This tucked away jewel takes some effort to reach but when you arrive at this destination you will be glad you did. That is because Chapel Beach is home to Chapel Rock, one of the more popular rock formations along Pictured Rocks and it is also close to Chapel Lake which has views of the beautiful Chapel Falls on the west side.

Miners Beach:

Is a quick 15 mile drive from Munising down H-58 and Miners Castle Road. This attraction was made for a nice picnic and walk down the one mile sandy shore with your feet in the crisp water of Lake Superior. On this beach you are always on the hunt for polished beach cobbles that make for great skipping or throwing stones.

Mosquito Beach:

When visiting or hiking Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore you would be hard-pressed to find a more secluded and bare bones beach in which to enjoy. It’s about a 2 mile hike down to Mosquito Beach and makes for an amazing place to spend the day spend the day. Surrounding the beach is layers of ridged sandstone formations that captivate your gaze as you bask in the sun.
